Community Outreach and Corporate Social Responsibility

At Carney, we make a positive difference in people’s lives by giving back to the community both as a corporation and as individual employees.

Carney supports many local causes such as the Alexandria Educational Partnership Scholarship Fund and local sports teams. Carney contributes annually to the International Red Cross and gives financial and in-kind support to the Tanzanian Educational Fund. Contributions to the Fund help support Nianjema, a non-profit school in Tanzania, Africa.

Each year Carney employees spearhead internal charity events like the Food 4 Families, Toys for Tots, and Dollars for Denim.

In 2006, Carney started a charitable foundation to provide scholarships for the continued study of learning-related fields at the undergraduate level. Carney provides additional funding to the foundation each year. Employees make up the foundation board and determine funding recipients.
